Terms of use
Last updated 6 September 2026
01What this is
Mohalla Shop lets neighbourhood shops publish what they have today, lets you ask them for a price, and lets you agree an order to collect at the counter. By using the app or this website you agree to these terms.
These terms are an agreement with AIPath DigiNext. “We” and “us” below mean AIPath DigiNext.
AIPath DigiNext is at 659, Ganga Vihar, Lucknow 226101, Uttar Pradesh, India.
02We are not the seller
Every offer, price, quote and order on Mohalla Shop is between you and the shop. The shop decides what it sells, at what price, in what condition and whether it has any left. We are where you found each other; we are not a party to the sale.
That means the shop is responsible for the goods, for the price it quoted, for having the stock it said it had and for anything that goes wrong with what you collected. If something is not right, take it up with the shop first — you know where it is, which is rather the point of a shop on your own street.
03Payment happens between you and the shop
Mohalla Shop takes no payments and charges no commission. There is no wallet and no checkout. You pay the shop directly, in cash at the counter or by UPI from your bank app to theirs.
A UPI QR code shown on a shop’s page is an image that the shopkeeper uploaded. We do not verify it and cannot confirm who it pays. Check the name your UPI app shows before you confirm any payment. We hold no money at any point, so we cannot reverse a payment, and any refund is a matter between you and the shop.
04Your account
- Give real details, and keep your password to yourself. What is done from your account is treated as done by you.
- One person, one account. Do not sign up on behalf of somebody else.
- If you think somebody else is using your account, change your password — that ends every other signed-in device at once.
05If you run a shop here
- Publish only your own shop, and only offers you can actually honour. A price you post is a price you are offering.
- Upload only photos you have the right to use, and a UPI code that pays your own shop.
- Answer price requests honestly about stock, substitutions and how long you will hold an order.
- Follow the law that applies to what you sell — licences, labelling, weights, and anything your category requires. We do not check any of it for you.
06What you may not do
- Post anything unlawful, abusive, misleading or that is not yours to post.
- Impersonate another shop or another person.
- Scrape, overload or attempt to break the service, or work around its sign-in.
- Use the service to sell anything you are not permitted to sell.
We may remove content or suspend an account that does any of these.
07The service comes as it is
We try to keep Mohalla Shop working and accurate, but it is offered as it is. Offers can be out of date, a shop may close early, a quote may not be honoured, and the service can go down. We do not guarantee that what you see on a shop’s page is correct at the moment you read it.
TO BE COMPLETED BY THE OPERATOR — the limitation of liability and the disclaimer of warranties that your lawyer and your jurisdiction call for. What is written above is a plain-English description of how the product behaves, not a drafted clause, and it has deliberately not been dressed up as one.
08Privacy
What we collect and why is set out in the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms and is published at www.mohalla.shop/privacy.
09Changes and ending
We may change these terms; the current version is always the one published here, with the date at the top. You can stop using the service at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may end access to an account that breaks these terms.
10Law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of them or out of your use of Mohalla Shop.
Notices to us go to admin@mohalla.shop or to AIPath DigiNext, 659, Ganga Vihar, Lucknow 226101, Uttar Pradesh, India.
